Welcome to the online unofficial UP Final GWA Calculator/Estimator! Way back in 2012+, I made a similar tool for fellow DLSU students to assist us in knowing what GPAs we need to achieve a target CGPA (normally, one that will give enable us to graduate with honors). That calculator is still being used today, so I realized that maybe I can extend this calculator to other universities. Also, interestingly when I was checking on Reddit, and doing a bit of reading, I found out that GWA and attaining Latin honor is one of the most-talked topics. Hence, hopefully, this will be a tool that may provide extra insights.
What is this tool?
This is a simplified online estimator you may use to calculate what grades you need to get for your remaining stay at the university to attain a target Final GWA. It addresses the usual question of "Can I still graduate with honors if I do better in the succeeding terms?". I have edited this tool in such a way that it is particular for UP students.

How to use this tool?
For you to use the tool, you will need the following information to be available on hand:
- Your GWA to date (Cumulative GWA or CGWA)
- The No. of Units you already completed
- The No. of Units remaining
FAQ/s
Q: How to identify my GWA to date?
Based on what I have gathered so far, there is limited options to identify your most recent cumulative GWA that will count toward eligibility for honors. Most of other UP students suggest that you manually compute this yourself. To do this, you may log in to the CRS, jot down all academic subjects you already took, preferably in Excel. Multiply the number of units of one subject with the grade you received. Do the same for the rest of your completed subjects, and take the sum. Divide it by the total number of completed units. You may also use the tool below to do this.

Q: Does failing any subject result to automatic ineligibility to Latin honors?
Based on the information I gathered, no. As long as you hit the required GWA, you'll be eligible for Latin honors.
How to interpret the results?
There are multiple numbers that will show up, and these are the grades you will need to hit or sustain in your remaining terms to hit a certain CGPA/GWA target. It will also provide information whether it's possible for you to still qualify for any of the Laude awards.
