This is one of the 21 food businesses that participated in the Foodgasm III - Triple the Flavor!
In my opinion, if there is one strong contender for the expert's choice aside from the winning food entry, Black Mamba by B.Wings. It will be this Deep Fried Burrito by Little Donkey.
However, this got me curious. A burrito that has been deep fried is more appropriate to be called as Chimichanga, rather than its current long name. Anyway, I can't do anything about it, so let's just proceed with the food entry!
Deep Friend Burrito for only P150
Pretty colorful right? At last, here's another store that lives up to its tagline, since the presentation and design of the dish makes you feel like there's indeed a fiesta!
Now, zooming into the specifics of the dish, I believe it offered us a fresh concept, since most of us are just familiar with the regular burrito. Thanks to Little Donkey, other great offerings of a Mexican cuisine are being introduced to us! Hmmmm, as for the taste, I liked the tenderness of the meat (probably because according to my newly met blogger-friend, the burrito undergo pressure cooking first before frying). Also, I appreciated the freshness of the veggies, which somehow gave a way to rationalize for digging into something that is fried.
Overall, I found nothing bad about the taste; it's just that I still appreciate the regular burrito, wherein the I don't have to deal with the oil from frying. Good thing, Little Donkey also offers the traditional ones.
