If you are planning to visit Iloilo sometime in the future, you may want to include Smallville in your must-visit places. Well, it’s no big deal if you won’t, but locals will really suggest that you try checking this place out. It’s like the BGC of the Ilonggos! The landscape was noteworthy, and the restaurant choices are seemingly interesting.
Following our dinner in Ponsyon of Plazuela de Iloilo (read more), we decided to have some desserts here in Smallville particularly Nothing but Desserts via the recommendation of our friends.
The interior of this place is simple yet adorable. My photo may not give full justice to how it really looked that time, but I would say that it’s really great to chill in this place. What’s interesting about this place is that they serve uncommon desserts and of course the usual ones such as gelato, macarons, pralines and more.
The interior in its overall is fun, adorable and vibrant - perfect to just hangout and chill as you enjoy some decadent desserts.
I had a lot of time to browse around, and it was a great pastime snapping some shots of the desserts in the jars!
Blueberry Cheesecake
Served in a highly presentable manner, the cheesecake had this delectable thick creamy texture that was indeed exciting.
Mango Chocolate Surprise
The mango had these delicious layers of complementary elements including the mangoes and chocolate. I just love how the flavors blended up.
Reese's Praline and Dark Orange Mendiant (P30 each)
The Reese’s Praline was more balanced than the original Reese’s especially in terms of the sweetness. It was lovely!
This Dark Orange Mendiants was really dreamy with its great combination of dark chocolate goodness and some citrus zest. The only problem I encountered with this is that it was difficult to bite. It’s hard as a rock, which makes it not easy to consume.
Macarons and gelatos are also available here in Nothing but Desserts, but I wasn't able to personally try them, since I was too full.

Budget: At least P100 each for a personal dessert
Overall, I found the desserts here in Nothing but Desserts interesting, but more than the food, it was the place that I appreciated more. Yes, I believe that there is still some room for improvement when it comes to the texture of the desserts, but I see great potential. You should drop by this place and see for yourself.
