Eating out surely filters out the dullness of life, and once again we found ourselves lost in the beautiful world of food one fine lunch time.
Well, I mentioned in one of my blog posts that I find Greenbelt's food scene starting to dry and pale up, and maybe that's because of familiarity. In Greenbelt 5 alone, I already have an idea of what the restos serve there (except for the posh ones at the ground level); hence, I often don't get enthused dining there. However, I'm starting to adjust my perspective again, especially with this nice experience in John and Yoko.
I was able to try John and Yoko several years back, and I wasn't blogging then. I can't particularly remember if we found the restaurant good, but I gave it the benefit of the doubt, and decided to try it once more.
When I got to carefully examine the interior, I noticed that a lot changed already. The ambiance is more comfortable and relaxing. I didn't expect that it was not only the interior that was changed but also the menu. It became leaner and more focused toward "Japanese" dishes.
California Maki Salad || P218
This salad dish that we had was considerably plain but still good. Nothing is really specifically unique about it, but it was nice enough to consume.
Las Vegas Roll || P248
Salmon Sashimi || P229

The salmon sashimi here in John and Yoko is relatively affordable as opposed to other Japanese restaurants. Plus, with 7 fresh cuts of the salmon, we already found ourselves completely satisfied.
Uni Fried Maki || P228

Now, this was something I really enjoyed - the Uni Fried Maki. I just loved how I found it unique yet utterly lovable, as it possessed a well-balanced set of flavors and freshness, evidenced by the smoothness of the uni.
Sukiyaki || P418
Slightly sweeter than suitable, the sukiyaki featured a relaxing warmness that really soothes the mind. There was also sufficient amount of ingredients that justified the price. Plus this one is already good for 3 making the price more reasonable. Interesting and well-flavored!
Here is a photo of our big group which consists of the FSRM associates and interns. Such a wonderful moment to enjoy great food.
